I was playing a computer game, maybe VR, where every time you accessed a new area, you gained a new neural-helmet. Each helmet gave you a different psychic power, and flashed red in the inventory screen above your avatar. One let you shoot magic bolts, another could freeze enemies, and so on. You also had more standard weapons like guns, and it was a post-apocalyptic desert setting. You started off in a little hut kind of like in Star Wars, but more junky. There was one part where I was running around fighting under a giant crashed spaceship.

At one point, I was on one side of a wide chasm, with one bridge across the middle. There was a swarm of hundreds of huge gremlins bouncing along towards us over the bridge, and though I was scared at first, I started slinging magic bolts at them and rushed forward, guns also blazing. Once I crossed the bridge, I was in a dungeon, wiping out more of the gremlins, sometimes around corners.

Later, I was in a Chinese homegoods market with my sister and her friend, and maybe I had Lia with me also. It was extremely cramped, with all walls and shelves stacked high with paper towels, rice cooker boxes, and so forth.

Finally, I was back in the Knapp House (once again!), only this one was a bit condensed: there was no entrance hallway but rather the front door opened directly into a wide living room, then the kitchen and other rooms in the back. I was mostly in the living room area, though at one point I was in the laundry area to the side trying to find my socks. I picked up a pair, but they were pretty colorful so I wasn’t sure they were mine. Back in the living room, as I was trying to get my backpack set to go, the current fellows started coming in. I realized I didn’t know any of them, and they would start wondering who I was. Embarrassed, I put my head down and started to act like I was in the wrong place and trying to get out.
